Hello Fellow Civic owners,
I have a '98 Civic LX which is bone stock. I have a set of wheels I would like to put on it. Currently it has 185 65 14's on it. The new wheels I have are 15x6. I have a set of tires that are 205 60 15's. Can I use themwithout any problems or will I have to go with the stock size tire of 195 55 15? I would hate to have to buy 4 new tires. Thanks

 

I think they will fit because When I got my Si it also came with 195 55 15. The 205/60**** 205= widder tire and 60= taller tire. But more likely they should fit ask a tire shop they should tell you even try it on to see the FIT.... Good luck [&:]

 

Thanks for the help. I wanted to try to avoid paying for 4 new tires if the 205/60/15's would fit. Thanks again for the help guys.

 

205/60/15 is wayyy too tall, 205/50/15 would be a lot better

 

I actually am looking for a softer ride. I am not really into a stiff high performance suspension. If I go with a lower profile tire the road would start to feel more bumpy.

 

That is so true, but it all depends what springs you have....If you would put some 205/55/15 would be just perfect. [&:]

 

That's nice, but the 205/60/15 tires are an INCH AND A HALF taller than they are supposed to be. Good luck fitting those under your car, and turning the steering wheel.

 

I will probably just go with the stock size of 195/55/15's.
