When it rains?
How very odd is this when it rains my 1994 Honda Civic,5 speed man,1.5L will crank but no start.I feel I am down to either a Igniter unit or a coil.I will jump for a code tommorrow, but it will only show a ignition code 14 I believe. My question isthis when it's cold the ohms value will be a cetain number and also the igniter also too.But this is a moisture issue I feel hence the rain no start.I also have changed the O-ring around the dist too.Ohm it might help but if their is no moisture will it still show the breakdown.I will post to this issue tomorrow to let you know the value's on both Coil and Ignitor unit.I love the free carwash but hate the no-start oh well.Oh and I am new to your site so hello every one.
Welcome.
After a rain, have you checked whether water gets into or around the distributor or on wires leading to or from the distributor?
By the way, code 14 is for the EACV. Do you mean code 4, 8, or 9 for the TDC/CRANK/CYL Sensor? If so, then you would not focus on the coil or igniter.

Thanks Ron,my Haynes manual for 1992-1995 Honda Civic shows a fault code for Ignition output signal 15 not 14.I have not jumped the pin connector at the pass location yet will do tomorrow.I did read on another web site about when it rains plug wire setstend to break down causing a no start issue till it dries. The past owner does not show when it replaced the plug wire set, this Honda has about 183,000 miles on it now.No miss fire though and no rough idle.So this why I am not leaning towards plug wire set yet. When I opened the hood it was pouring down rain so a quick scan did not reveal anything at least not a wet distributer or plug wires. So I close the hood and came back the next day and it started.Any thought's
Consider the main relay. The apparent connection to rainy weather could be pure coincidence. When it is not in a mood to start, turn the key pff, then turn it on but don't crank. Do you hear the fuel pump run? It should run for 2 seconds and then stop. Also the check engine light should come on for those two seconds and then go out.
