Default whisle during acceleration (97 ex)

my ex in making a whistling noise when i accelerate hard... it sounds just like a turbo but it is surely not one .... i wish it was lol... anyways i thought it could be an exhaust leak but i think that would be more of a sputtering... any ideas on the problem ?

Where does the sound seem to be coming from?

Does it happen when revving in neutral?

Might it be a squealing drive belt (alternator, power steering, A/C)?

Any engine problems associated with the noise?

Are you saying the blower runs continuously? And that heat or A/C is also ON?

Please give more details.

So you can turn the heat ON and OFF and the same for A/C, but no matter what the blower fan always run on low?

the air to me has always seemed warmer than normal air temp because it is causing some discomfort but i suppose that could just be some internal heat and not the heater

You probably have a bad heater fan switch.

Try to localize the whistling noise.

Would it be possible to record and post the sound?

Can you tell whether the noise comes from the driver- or passenger-side of the engine compartment?

The more details you give, the better chance to identify the problem.
