White smoke under the hood
Hi,
I have a 2001 Civic LX with 100,000 miles. On highway drives more than an hour sometimes white smoke starts coming from under the hood with a burning rubber smell. It happens occasionally. When the smoke is little less, I tried opening the hood and see inside. Nothing looks like burning. The lower potion under the engine is wet along the bottom iron bar. Smoke seems coming from the liquid. I don't know what is leaking. One or two drop only comes on the road after stopping.
Again the problem only happens once in a while. The car does not look overheating (the temperature gauge stands just below half way). I am haivng absolutely no idea what is going on. Checked the fluid levels for Break oil, Power steering oil. They look ok. Please help.
Thanks!!

Probably a coolant leak. Check the level in the radiator (as well as the plastic tank) when the engine is cold. Radiator should be completely full to the top. Also notice what coolant smells like. Is that the same smell as the white smoke?
