My car was broken into a while ago and the guy destroyed my regulator in the process of gaining access. I bough a regulator from a parts recycler and installed it but now my window jumps off the front track if it goes down more than about half way. I looked around online and about.com said that my car, a 98 HX, was one of many that had issues with the window's tracks. For the people who have experienced this, does it sound like I just happened to get a bad regulator from the recycler or if I need to replace the rubber tracks the window runs in?

 

maybe the bolt got loose, that connects the Y shaped track thing. I know mine went off the track constantly, until I tightened the $hit out of that bolt
