Driving in the rain the other day and when I went to put my wipers on intermittent they just kept going, when I switched to high they went to high, when I went to go to low they went to low, but on intermittent they stayed on low and when I turned them off they stayed on low. Pulled the fuse when I got home so I could drive the car the next day without the wipers being on all the time. Could this be the switch on the steering column or some other problem? New switch cost about $100, so I figured I'd do some research before I spent the money and time on it.

 

This can also be the parking switch in the motor. The switch should be open when the wiper blades are all the way down, that makes it stop in the right place when the column switch is turned off.
