Default windshield wiper motor issues

New to the honda scene with a 90 hatch. wipers arent working so I cant get it inspected and get it on the road. while installing new wiper motor, i find that I can't get the ball joint to connect to the wiper arm. Am I missing some sort of bushing to make it stay connected? It seems to be that the hole in the wiper arm is way to big. Any advice is welcome.

Thanks

There should be a plastic cup like thing that the ball pushes into. It's the same as the one on the other end of the rod that links to the crank for the wiper blade. I think you have to buy the whole linkage assembly when they break or go bad, as it is molded into the rod and not available as a separate piece.
