Wiper Arm Removal Help

RE: Wiper Arm Removal Help
Open the hood, it makes it easier. I think it's a 14mm nut. Tip: mark the position of the wipers on your windshield with masking tape before you take them off, so you can realign them properly when you put them back on.

I know that there is a nut on top that you removed with a 14mm but when you take it out should it just come off? because mine sure isn't easy like and I dont wanna give it some force and break something. I also read online that some cars have clips that hold them?
Oh yeah and im not replacing them with those thick after market whiper. Im just gonna repaint it because right its like faded and paint start chipping.

PRESS DOWN RIGH ON THE PIVOT POINT THAT ALLOWS THE WIPER TO FLIP UP. THEN JUST PULL ON THE BASE OF THE WIPER AND YOUR GOOD TO GO TI'LL BE A LITTLE STIFF THOUGH ALWAYS WILL BE FROM THE TENSION ON THE SPRING.
