Default Wiring Through Door Grommets

I'm new to these forums, but not new to forums. For about the past year I've invested my time into car audio, electronics andinstalls. Anyways I'm finally amping up the speakers! As far as the audio aspect goes I know enough to do the job, that's not the issue here. The problem is that on the passenger side I'm unable to get to the door's grommet, there's two or three things in the way and I'm scared to touch them or move them. On the drivers side there's nothing in the way of the grommet, using some string or a hanger should work fine with a little bit of time, but I can't even get to the passenger side grommet. My main questions are : Do I need to know about the things that I'm moving if I'm going to move them? Do I even have to move them? Are there any alternate methods I can use to get to that damn grommet!? Thanks in advance for any help.
Wow my cell phone makes a horrible camera, but the pictures are the speaker wiring under the panels along the side. The grommet through the door and then the object that's under the glovebox on the passenger side. It's like a big black circular thingy.

trying to fish it won't work. on the inside of the door right at the groment there is a plug where the wires plug into. take off your door skin, and disconnect the plugs, and take it out, and run your new wires thro.

Well I did it fine on my drivers side... the wires are through and everythings as it should be . . but the ****ing passenger side doesnt want to cooperate. I don't know what plugs you're talking about, I was able to work around whatever there was on the drivers side. I'm gonna take apart my glovebox and hope I can fish my wire through the grommet that way. . If I can get it through I'm gonna just cut up the grommet since this side is not working with me, hopefully some tape can sow up that grommet afterwards. If this works I'll post pics of finished product in the same crap quality above.

I ran my driver side wires to the grommet... didn't know the plug was there. I see what you were talking about now, anyways I'm taking the rest of the day off... gonna resume tommorrow. Seriously can't wait to finish these ****ing doors!!! Rest of the wiring is so simple even if it's time consuming. Anyways I'll post final pics (hopefully can borrow ex gf, or current gf or I don't know what we are, digital cam for better quality pics!)

Looks like you have the same color car as me. But yeah how exactly did you get to the one on the drivers side? What did you have to remove?

It sounds like you are making this alot harder than it should be. I'm an MACP installer at a shop here in town and do sterio installs like this every day and for some reason I don't remember it being this hard at all. Couple ideas for you. First, the boot that goes from the door to the body, diconnect both sides. don't worry, they will go back on.fish one end of the wire from between the doors into the body. run the other end through the boot, and then fish it into the door. roeconect the boot, and your done. second and probobly the easiest approch. get into the passenger door and find the colors of wired that hook to the speaker. now, go back to the inside of the car and find those same wireing colors comming through the grommet into the cars. just cut them and hook your wires up there. saves you the time and effort of actually getting them into the door. trust me, it works great and you wont be sacrificing and sound quality. as for proper tool, i have two that help alot. the first is called a grommet punch tool. all it is is a hollow tube with a sharp end, kinda like a big needle. you can get em for 10 bucks. second it what i call a grabber tool ( i have no idea of its real name). its just a long flexible claw the you push trhough wherever you are going, grab the wire, and pull it back through. easy. hope this helps.need anything else just post

I can't get to the car side grommet... the door / fender is in the way. I'm taking off the top half screws of fender hoping to be able to pull it back a few inches so i can move the grommet then.
