in the past week i have got a 94 civic ex 1.6vtec . iam new to the hondas i really could use some help. i first got the car the guy let it sit for who knows how long . i got it runin ruff at first but the more i ran it the smoother it got now it doesnt want to crank at all . i hope some one can tell me something if you need more specifics just ask. thanks

 

Do you mean the starter does not crank the engine with the key in ON(III)? Is the battery dead?

 

the starter is working the battery is good i even tryed jumping it off it was runing it died and now all it wants to do is roll over

 

Check for spark at the plugs and listen for whether the fuel pump primes. Any CEL codes?

 

i have no way of checking codes i have get out there tomarrow and check the fire and fuel. i put new plugs in it when i got the car i got it runing ok but it died and now wont crank back up

i tryed checkin for cel # when i jump it out the engin light comes on and stays on . the light will not come on until i jump it . i replaced the button. in the dis . next ill try the cap. i hope i can get it going soon. thanks for your help.

 

Again, do this:

1) Listen for whether the fuel pump primes for 2 seconds when the key is turned to ON(II).

still cant get it to start i pulled the valve cover timingbelt is fine cant get any cel codes to show im lost and need to get this baby on the road so i can go back to work. it has 240000 mi. ppl keep telling me the dist so i pulled it. plz help
