wont stay running unless I leave the key half turned
so my 95 dx started randomly dying either while driving or going from park, it just bogged out so originally I thought it was the fuel pump so I replaced that and the filter but that didnt work than it stopped running at the top of a hill and I couldnt get it to stay running unless I held the key half turned. I changed the rotor, cap, wires, spark plugs, and the ignition got changed out although I wasnt there to witness or make sure the spring was in the right place lol. But after all this it is still doing the same thing. I am running out of time patience I have to have a way to work after all lol. Has anyone had fun with this particular problem before? I need help
When it stalls, watch if the oil and battery lights come on, like they should whenever the key is on but the engine is not turning. If they don't come on that means there is no power to the whole system, likely the switch is bad. Having to set the key just right means that the ignition switch the key turns is not right. Take the covers off the steering column and replace the switch.

We get these in the store alot and 99% of the time it's the ignition switch itself..too many keys swaying back and forth on the ring wears out the ignition..
