wtf! i cant take my spark plug wires off.
alrite, i need some major help. my car overheated a few days ago, and when i opened up the hood to add some coolant, i noticed one of my spark plug wire came loose and was "fried" as the ppl at autozone puts it. i had to buy a brand new set to replace it but when i tried to take the other wires off, i cant. theyre stuck on good i cant even budge it with all my strength and ended up ripping apart one of it. how do i remove these wires? help me out please i need to drive my car to school tommorow morning so im trying to get the problem fixed today.
Thank you.
Thank you.
Dont ever trust the idiots that work at Autozone. Typically, none of them have any mechanic related experience at all.
I've never heard of this condition, but I think your best bet might be to just rip them out as best you can. Then, remove the plugs. Drop in new plugs and new wires and be sure to keep an eye on them over the following couple weeks.

alritey then, guess ill just tear em out. i dont really mind tearing it up cus i got warranty on it anyways and they say theyll get me new ones as long as i can get the old ones out. if theres no easier way to gt them out i guess its my only choice.
thanks a lot.

Yeah, it sucks man...but I can't thikn of any other way.
It's quite obvious that you've got some heat related issues. Can you give us a quick rundown on the car (year/trim, # of miles, any past issues, mods, etc..)? That would definitely help.
In the meantime, how's your coolant situation? Are you losing/leaking significant amounts? Its sounds like you got that engine temp sky high, which fused the connectors inside the wires directly to the plugs.
Also, when you add coolant, are you pouring it into the resevoir, or directly into the radiator?
Good luck man, hope you get this situation taken care of

its a 98 honda civic ex, i got the wires out and it turns out that when my car overheated a few day ago because my coolants leaked (and still is leaking), the wires got melted on to the spark plugs. took my 2 hours to rip everything off but what a relief. the wires were on warranty so i just got some new ones to replace it.
but yea the car was overheated like crazy, smoke was everywhere. and my coolants are leaking a pretty good amount everyday. i added coolant directly to the radiator and added some to the reservoir. but everymorning i have to add a little more because its leaking.
Thanks for all the help. really appreciated it.
