yet another problem....
my power locks are not working..... i dont know what it could be the motor or solenoid?? before my power locks went out everytime i pushed the lock button up and down it made a weird noise, kind of like an error noise..... ever watch game shows and hear someone say the wrong answer and get that buzz... well thats what it sounded like... what do u guys think it could be im gettin my alarm on tues so i want it fixed before then
The likely problem is the lock actuator, which can be purchased from your local auto parts store. The job is also straightforward, if you know how to remove the door panel.
Sorry, I responded too quickly in my previous post. I think more information is needed. Are all power locks individually inoperable? If so, check the power window fuse in the under-the-hood fuse box and the control unit in the driver's door. Do the locks only fail to work when using the driver's door lock switch? If so, check the function of the latter switch. If individual locks don't work, consider the actuator.
what do the power window fuses have to do with the locks?? nothing happens when my push the lock buttons on the driver side door or passenger side door.... where would the fuse be for that...... also where is the lock actuator located

--what do the power window fuses have to do with the locks??
Reply: Sorry, I made a typo and should have written power lock fuse rather than power window fuse.
--nothing happens when my push the lock buttons on the driver side door or passenger side door.... where would the fuse be for that......
Reply: The attached Troubleshooting Chart says that you should check fuse #51 in the fuse/relay box located in the engine compartment. If the fuse is okay, then next check the Control Unit behind the panel of the driver's door.
--also where is the lock actuator located
Reply: The lock actuator for each door is located behind the door panel (see attached illustration). The actuator unit will be obvious by its connection to the lock.
