Did you or the previous owner remove the power steering? If it was removed correctly, it should be a fairly straight forward install as long as you have all the parts necessary

well, some guy in import tunner, with a crazy name, races a civic with a k20, and he claims that having PS helps him be more consistant resulting in faster lap times. i love my ps. but in light cars like teggys/civics its ok without.

yeah... the way i see it is... That when you turn your ac on in your honda. you lose half your power. Like i turn my ac and my car just shudders and just loses it all it seems to me.... So Ac onnly takes away hp when its on

Ive never heard anything about the PS.

yea I noticed that too with my civic, if it's off it's fine but when it's on the belt starts making this noise and I noticeably feel a choke in performance.

Yes you lose horsepower, but i dont think half. Feul consumption goes up too.

fuel consumption goes up an average loss of like one mpg according to consumer reports. And I think structurally, the ac has some parasitic loss even when it's not on, but i'm not sure.

With owning two cars w/o power steering a crx hf(POS car at least the one i bought "rust") and civic vx hatch('95 might have been removed) It is ok as long as you are moving but if you have to turn the wheel at a start on something like concrete or in regular cases the road it can be tough but really since they are light cars it isnt that bad plus you got one less belt you need to replace, one less thing that could go wrong with the car and something you would end up having to replace, and you wont have to spend money on that honda power steering fluid.......for me id stay with out the power steering on something like that for now it dose kinda lighten the car a bit and save money in the things I have already stated.....
