Default 1990 Civic HB Forum NooB

Hey all,
I have a 1990 Honda civic base model ( 1.5L with a 4 Speed Manual tranny), pretty much stock, other than a HO alternator (had factory alternator upped from 60A, it is putting out 114A now) Will possibly be working on making it a bit quicker, and louder ( have a Kicker S15L7 in the hatch with 1500Watts of Rockford Fosgate power pushng it at 2 OHM Mono (Amp is mono) Anything else you want to know just ask. I will be asking many questions, first one pertaining to a Tranny swap on this car. but I am sure the nooB forum is not the place to ask.

id recommend an entire engine swap. no tuner love for your d15 unfortunately. DOHC ZC or B16A1 would be the ways to go. welcoem aboard and if you have any questions that you cant find the answers to in the search, feel free to ask!

Thanks for the welcome.. I would love to do an engine swap, unfortunately I am not in a monitary position to play around with it yet. Hopefully within the next 6 months to a year, that will be much different. Right now I am ust doing what I can to keep it on the road so I can go back and forth to/from work.. lol anyone know of any GOOD enging swap garages in North Central Florida? ( I am in Gainesville) I don't have the time to do the work on it myself even. Gotta work, and ALL of my time on the weekends goes to my son(Damn divorce, so I only get to spend time with him on the weekends)
