Default 1997 dx coupe black black

Hi. I joined about 1 week ago but forgot to introduce myself. Im Michael. I first became interested in import cars in high-school but just the superficial aspects(looks and stuff). Several years later, Im now 26 and just bought an old civic dx.. I love it and obsessed with it and plan to work on it for fun and education.

check it out in the garage.

Welcome to the forum!

What do you plan on doing with it mod-wise?

mod wise.. shocks and springs, 4-1 headers, short shifter kit, and perhaps a strut bar.
Your car looks cool; supercharger sounds like fun

Sounds like a good start. I am sure you will get struck with the "mod bug" and continue on after those mods are done.

If the car is 100% stock, I would suggest going with suspension upgrades first, then look into exhaust.

I appreciate the compliments The S/C was a last attempt at boost as my turbo project got flushed down the toilet due to a lay off and this was a cheaper way of boosting. Happy I did it now since I am prepping everything for a high compression motor to attach the supercharger to.

Yeah its interesting you said to look into suspension first, because I was thinking the same thing!(Why get headers and hp components if the "car" is not built for that kind of aftermarket power...) Thanks for the re-assurance.

Question.. Do you happen to know of tracks where I can test out my car with no speed limits? the internet usually answers all my questions but I can find nothing except very expensive racing clubs.. I just want to learn to handle my car right
Thanks
