Hi Everyone. I'm an old man I hope there are others like me here. I acquired a 90 Civic from my mother. She has decided at 89 years old she doesn't want to drive anymore. So she decided that my wife should drive it, since she commutes to work. My mother bought this Civic new in 1990 it only has 103,000 miles & is in great shape inside & out. I had to replace the fuel pump, strainer & fuel filter. (I started there first) It was only pumping 39# & it should be around 50#. It would die every so often. Also the front axles needed to be replaced the CV boots were tore & the weight on the long axle had dry rotted. Today I put a new set of Kumho KR21 tires on it The problem is she hasn't driven it for almost two years. So the wife & I are going to take it on a couple thousand mile trip next week.
So anyway I hope to learn something about the Civic by being apart of this forum.
If there are any 60+ year young on here please chime in.

There's oldtimers on here, they just don't post as much. Welcome to the forum and just make sure that your tie rod ends and brakes are good.

Thanks guys for the welcome. Brakes & tie rod ends are good. This car has been well maintained the big problem is it sat for close to two years. Not being used is worse than being used. We took it on a couple hundred mile run today. When we got back I had to spray cleaner in the throttle body the idle was up. It was gummed up some. Then I charge the A/C. Thank God I have some R-12.
