Default Another newbie. Long time Honda fan.

Just picked up a 2001 HX manual. No AC and cannot find any info on if it is possible to add it on an '01.

Used to engineer airbags for Honda.

Welcome to HCF. I would search the internet to see if the car was available with AC (I'm sure it was) and then start looking for all the parts. Here is the link to the manuals (I bet they would even show if it had AC avaiable). http://hondatech.info/downloads/Auto/Manuals/Civic/

Got 47.1 and 48.3 mpg on the first two tanks. Way better than I expected.

Since A/C was a dealer option, Honda made A/C easy to add to any Civic. The dealerships sell that A/C kit as a whole.
