Default Anything I should know?

I plan on buying a 1999-2005 Honda Civic sometime within the next week. Anyone know of any problems that these cars have? Any years I should avoid? Any advice would be great!

Thanks

Welcome to the world of imports! Didnt have to replace anything yet in my 02, well cept for adding performance mods. Definately try to find low miles and preferably one that was owned by a "sunday driver" If you can find a 99-00 si and all looks good spend the money! otherwise 'grats on your decision and have fun with it.

Thanks for the feedback, yall. I was thinking about either an HX or EX. I want the best fuel economy possible and decent performance. About the new 1.7 liter engines in the base models, are they any better than the older 1.6 liter engines?

i recently purchased a 2000 Civic EX and did all the research from Consumer Reports and from 99-05 the 99's and 2000's were the best rated.( all the civics were consumer picks (cause they are all good cars )).
