Bookworm Noob
Hi guys. I just got a 1995 DX this year, so I'm really looking forward to tinkering with it. I'm really interested in improving performance as much as I could, but since I'm using the car for daily driving, I need to worry about fuel economy and passing the stupid smog test. It's also notable that I'd rather speak softly and carry a big stick--so I'm keeping the car rice-free unless it's practical (e.g., I have Silverstars on because I can't see **** at night with the stock lights).
I've read a lot of stuff about modding Civs since I got mine, and I pretty much know most of the popular opinions and trends. However, I'm not a gearhead; I could do basic maintenance, and that's it. So if you guys hear me ask about a detailed illustrated instructions on how to do stuff, this is exactly the reason why. I am pretty perceptive; I read various articles about oil changes, and I changed my car's oil and filter perfect the first time without any help from Chilton or Haynes. I know that if I'm going to learn how to mod, I need to get one of those books--and I will, so don't sweat me.
Anyway, I hope you guys could give me a hand when I need some advice. I promise to pay it forward once I get the hang of things. I'm looking forward to your kind support and consideration.

Welcome to the forum. This forum is the Anti Rice... a.k.a. "The Dark Side". You most likely wont even need a book when it comes to most things. Here you will learn alot more and bits and peices that a book might leave out or explain. Here you will always find answers. Tried, tested and true, you are in the best Civic forum in the world.
