Default cai or short ram on a d16???

i installed an aem intake. i had it as a short ram at first and than extended it to cold air. i felt more power, higher rpm with short ram from what i remember. my engine is all stock BTW. what do you guys think? which is better? HEELP

if your going to feel anything the sri might give you more throttle response, but honestly bolt on mods on a civic, especially a d16 wont do anything. I kno it sucks to hear it, but its tru, you might not believe us but again its tru lol. Only real power adders for a d16 are boost, superchargers, or nitrous

i prefer short rams personally. better throttle response, less chance of sucking up water, looks cooler and sounds cooler XD

im not saying not to do it, but im just letting you know not to get your hopes up and think you have a race car now.

Its good experiance so if you want an intake, look on ebay and get a cheap one then switch the filter out with either an aem or k&n one.

this is what i got, great deal imo --> http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/HONDA...Q5fAccessories

I say go short, I cut my CAI back to be a custom short cause i didn't wanna risk getting a hydrolock.

ebay is a good place to get one, and even though these parts wont make the car fast, it is a fun experience learning how to install parts. i say get the get the short ram.
