What up, My name is Randy I have a 99 Civic EX coupe with a d16 & auto. So far I have H&R springs, Tokico blues, DC header, AEM cold air & front & rear strut bars. I look forward to alot more. I hate the auto but the car was in excellent shape when I bought it. I want to swap the tranny to a 5 speed but I'm not sure what all I need or what years or models will work. If anyone has any suggestions I sure could use them. I will be uploading some picks soon. Also I'm new to this whole forum thing, so it might take me awhile to learn my way around. Thanks.

There is a lot of useful information on this site about switching it from auto to manual, just use the search button.
p.s. welcome and I hope you enjoy this site.

switching from auto to manual will cost you a lot, i think its only 700 bucks more to get a whole engine swap rather just doing the tranny

Thanks for the info & for the welcome. I will do a search & as far as the complete swap I'm looking into that also, I just can't stand not being able to drive in the exact rpm range I want to be in cause of the auto. So I'm looking forward to posting as I move along with swapping. Thanks

I'm not sure exactly what swap I want to do. I want it to stay very streetable, but be able to smash when I want. I drive about 100 miles a day. So far i'm thinkin about a b18 bottom end with a b16 Vtec head & Greddy turbo. Any Suggestions?
