^ doesnt mean the tranny is going bad. hell for all you know previous owner could have had it rebuilt or replaced already.
but anyways before you replace the motor why not inspect the motor, leak down/compresson test and see what kinda shape its in. also inspect the timiing belt since to a honda that is the heart of the motor... if it snaps the blood wont flow, so if it looks worn then replace it ASAP.
