Hoping to buy a civic but, wondered if there was much difference between the
Honda civic hatchback 91-96 and the
Honda civic hatchback 95-01
in terms of drive and perormance and womdered what your opinions were on them

I think the generations you're referring to are the 5th, and 6th generations.

5th = 92-95 (little more egg shaped)
6th = 96-00 (sharper lines)


The 5th gen is the more sought after model, due to it's lightweight and versatility. I'm not necessarily a "hatch man," but someone with more knowledge on them should be by shortly to help you out. Good luck on your search!!

 

I've only owned 2 5th gens so I couldn't give you any comparative advice. Anyway, welcome to HCF!

i know its lighter than my ex thats about it

I have a 5th and a 6th gen hatch, the 5th is lighter and corners better with way less body roll. The 6th has much more noise insulation and has rear speakers.

i cant help all ive had is a 92 hatch,93 coupe ,03 si but i did like the 92 hatch

Wondered if there is a significant difference between a 1.4 marlin, 1.5 LS and a 1.6VTi and what your opinions were of those. (5th gen civic hatchback 91-96)
