Default Civic -VS- STI

Soif youbought a Civic EX for $5000, and some one else bought a brand new WRX STI for $32,000. If you took the difference you saved on the Civic and spent it all on performance, do you thinkit could beat an STI, drag or track? Thats $27,000 dollars to put towards the civic. Let me know what you think, it will help settle anargument with my brother. thanks

im on your side all the way. if i had 27k to putintomy civic, it would make it a beast. i dont even think you could even use 27k on onlyperformance upgrades alone! youd have to buy some seriously over-priced stuff.

if you could even spend 27 grand on a motor alone, the civic would own most everything on the street. But a lot of that would have to go towards tire/suspension upgrades as well. None the less, would rape an sti and be a baaaddd civic.

27k = k series swap w/turbo, every cf body panel imaginable, all new suspension, wheels & tires, custom interior, custom paint...

you name it... hell might even be able to do an AWD or RWD conversion for that with a turbo

I'd still take the STi over a fully modded civic

werd.

i'm not spending $27,000 to upgrade a civic.

of course, i'd really have to think long and hard about buying a $33,000 STi too...

I'd probably buy an elise for a little more money instead.
