Default decisions...

Hey! I've been browsing through this forum and another prelude forum the past couple days as I have been looking at a few cars, one of which I may want to purchase soon. This site has been amazing in the plethora of information which has helped me to gain a better understanding of somethings. Thank You.

Anyways, I am looking at the 97 Civic EX model, which I really like.
Also, a 96 Prelude S, which has an awesome body style.

Both are in my area for sale by private sellers but I have to take them into mechanics first and see if they are a good buy...I will keep you all posted as to what I decide...if you all have any suggestions/input, feel free to let me know!

Thank You,
Kristin

the 97 Civic EX is going for 6100$ with 47K miles on it...

the 96 Prelude S is going for 5750$ with about 53K miles on it...supposively it has the original motor and everything in it...although they may have changed the rims to 17' (idk if thats stock) and it says also "Tokico stocks" idk what this is either.

Of course I would try and get each of the prices down a little if the inspection outcome is what I want.

I'm not looking to completely mod my new vehicle...I may do a few things here and there, but it's more just for me...

Thanks for the replies...keep them coming!

I have to agree with the other guys and go with the Prelude. I always like the Prelude and I think that's a good deal too.

I don't like preludes...plus I think the prelude you're looking at is a tuner vehicle, so you also have to watch out for the quality of work that's been done to it...

ok so bad news, this night sucks...

The guy that had the civic, which i was most interested in, called me back and said someone had put a deposit on the car and was having a mechanic come to his place sometime.

My friend and I went to test drive the Prelude. I fell in love with it until I read the title...REBUILT...and as I walked around the car and took closer looks at everything, I realized there were more red paint marks than where the guy had mentioned he fixed the left rear panel...

So now I'm starting from point one again....UGH
