Generations?

Just wondering, I hear all this stuff about 6th and 7th gen Hondas- where do the lines fall?

The most common ones (USDM):

4G - 88-91
5G - 92-95
6G - 96-00 (SI: 99-00 only)
7G - 01-05
8G - 06-??

Might as well add the older ones too:

1G - Basically 73-80, but there were a bunch of engine changes in between.
2G - 80-83
3G - 84-87
