i would recommend the eg hatch, it is very light. if your going to swap the engine then it doesnt really matter if u get the si or not. The year is 92 -95. I personally would get the hatch, and gut it out. not the tegi. The eg makes for a great sleeper

if you going for power to weight ratio if your swapping. then go with an EF(88-91), but other then that it is more so personal preference on what you want. i for example like the EG's (92-95)and EK's(96-00) the most so i would take one of those two if i was buying one

the si model is ok. it has a d16z6(correct me if im wrong) that puts out roughly 128hp. my buddy has one, and it is decent, and yes it will take some modded cars, but if you have the money to swap i do recommend that. I was with him and we kept up with a modded ep3. he has i/h/e. im not sure on the specs of the non si, of the top of my head, but if you search this forum i know you'll find the info you want

I have a 96 ex with 127hp, which is more like 106 at the wheels. Not too strong. You can get another twelve out of it with full bolt ons.
