Hello. Just signed up. My name is Ken. I've never owned a Civic before, but last night on Craigslist I saw a 95 DX hatch with manual tranny and 125k for $1900. Seemed like a pretty good deal so I went and bought it. It's not perfect and is sadly lacking in pretty much any options but I like it. I've had three Accords in the past and currently have a 97 BMW 740i, 88 Chevy Blazer K5 and 87 Accord LXi hatch.

The speedometer/odometer doesn't work for about 15 minutes, then it starts working and the left hatch strut isn't connected to the window, the driver window handle crank is missing, the clutch bearing is making noise and I can't seem to find the factory radio wiring harness. Other than that, it's pretty good. Has a few scuffs here and there, nothing major. There is a gap under the passenger headlight so I'm thinking it may have been wrecked at some point but the title is clear and it looks straight in the engine compartment.

I'm having my mechanic install a new bearing and clutch this weekend, gonna take my voltmeter and go check the VSS in a few minutes then drop by Honda and get a new hatch strut piece. Already ordered the window crank on eBay so within a week I should hopefully have it doing much better!

PS, does anyone have clear corners for the 95 hatch that aren't just clear glass? I want clear corners but with opaque glass, like the ones I bought for my 740. Thanks!

 

u should get ur corners dyied amber. but thats just what i would do nice find BTW
