Default Greetings from Vermont!

Hello,
My name is Dave and I'm a anything with an engine addict. I've been going through a diesel craze, mostly Mercedes. I decided this winter I want something with gas so I'll get a winter beater. Then I found a great deal on a 1988 Civic HB with only 61K on it. Here I am ready to start asking questions as a newbie. I'm 44 with three kids, twin 2.5 year olds and a 7 year old daughter who loved the car from the moment she saw the first pictures. Now I see why so many kids love these things, its like a little sports car! Mine has the 16V and 5 speed. Needs and exhaust and I have no engine temp readout on my gauge which makes me nervous.
