Hello everyone. Own several Hondas,currently on my first civic. My play toy. 98 EX 2 door with a D16Y8. Just blew it up this mornin. Spun a bearing on sunday racin around on the intrstate. 5th gear would've been better than 3rd at that speed. LOL Lookin to see what you guys are doin to these and seewhat options I have. Thanx

You can pretty much put any motor you want depending on how much time and money you have available.

Of course, the easiest swap would be a direct replacement D16y8.

Thank you. The start would probably be. Do any other blocks bolt to that 5 spd?

D series trans will only fit on a D series motor.

They make H2D kits (H series motor - D series trans), but assuming you have not much knowledge (based on your compatibility question above) I will not even go into that.
