Default hello thinking of getting a honda civic

yes iam thinking of getting a 1998 or newer say 2001 honda civic leaning to a 1999, but i want to get a full jdm front clip to do a more powerfull motor swap. i would like to have any suggestions on what engine or car to use and how easy it would be with a full clip.

thanks
terry

if your going to do an engine swap and dont mind putting up some bank. then go with a 2001 and bust a k swap in that ho.

Stay with the 6th gen then (96-00), from what I understand swaps are a bee-otch in the newer models.

If you dont go with a k. Do a CR-V block and a gsr head.

’97-’98 CR-V USA RD B20B 1973 8.8:1 126hp@5400/133lb-ft@4300
'99- '01 CR-V USA RD B20Z 1973 9.6:1 146hp@6400/133lb-ft@4500
I also have another friend the that has a crv block and gsr head in a eg hatch Its fast as hell to. There is alot of fast cars here and crazy combo swaps. The guy I am talking about his pride and joy is a newly built Dogde shadow yeah those old ugly cars. It really is just a built out the *** SRT-4 with a shadow body. Motor, turbo, suspenion, brakes, wheels and everything. His eg is his N/A car and the shadow is his FI car. When he takes it to drag stripes people laugh and say why would you drive a shadow and then he hustle them.

The k's come in the new honda acura's but they cost alot. Get the 99 and do a real nice B swap and build it for turbo.
