im a new member i just want to ask a question coz im planning to buy a 2004 or 2005? honda civic EX 4dr so far i know its a VTEC SOHC, my question is is the car can do a lot of modifications or lots of tuning coz so far i know only civic coupes are in tuner's favorite spot its kinda dummy question but tnx!

 

if you want to go fast save your money and get the Si. the k20 has/will have plenty more aftermarket support over that of the EX 1.7L

 

from what i've seen there aren't to much u can do with the new civ's. i'd say go 6th or 5th gen.

 

Sedans can be modded as easily as coupes. Most of the pieces will be interchangeable. The EX is a good choice too.

 

Yeah 4 and 2 door civic are about the 90% the same. Most people just pick a two door for a more sporty look.

And yes the new SI's do have a lot of aftermarket. But I think they look too much like a focus, and would still take a 4 or 2 door over it.

 

I have owned my sohc d16y8 vtec for some time and have enjoyed it, I'm now going to be swapped up to a b18c shortly. Had I the money or time earlier on in my d16y8's life I would have gone turbo! do it with your new ride My gsr will get a supercharge, cuz I dont wanna stress it, i'll take 225/195 any day. Nothin wrong with a d series, simplisity is sometimes overlooked, enjoy!
