Default Hey folks!

Hey,

Just signed up. I'm not planning on any radical tuning at the moment, but possibly in the future. Some immediate things I'm looking at doing are cold air/ short ram, new exhaust (stock manifold has developed a crack and ticks), and doing some painting.

I own an '04 Civic DX with a slushbox (how unheard of is a manual conversion? man I miss standard). Its got 170,000 km and has only ever had brakes and the timing belt done (pre-emptive strike, it didn't break). I'm looking for any suggestions on making performance and efficiency improvements! I'm not really worried about it sounding loud, or pimping it right out.

Thanks!

Pat

Welcome to the forums, Pat.

As far as adding an intake/header/exhaust, we have quite a bit of info around here, including a few sound clips of various exhausts, to give you a good idea of how loud/quiet/deep/throaty they'll be.

And for the manual conversion, it's been done. I'm not sure exactly what's needed for an '04 (most of our swap info is on 92-00's), but I'm sure the parts list and actual conversion itself shouldn't differ too much.

The first one is a no-no, and the second one is just pointless...

and for performance and efficiency purposes, I'd suggest front and rear strut braces and a good set of tires.
