My name is Erick, I live in Huntington Beach. I am new to the site and new to Hondas in general. I've had several Honda motorcycles, and had a EK coupe for a short time. Now I am looking for a EF hatchback as a commuter for now, but slowly build it for track events for my girlfriend. I race with NASA in Spec E30 and do some instructing as well. It is REALLLY hard to find a decent car. Either super modded (non bar'd, no known history on drivetrain) or just plain trashed. I would rather start with a stock DX (D15), 5 spd. I initially wanted an 89 since they had the normal seatbelts, not the door mounted ones. But now I am open to whatever. Just something clean and non molested.

 

Ugh, Cali. I'd love to live there in thought, but, the car enthusiast inside me dies when I hear BAR'd and emissions.

I'd say you could try and find one from Canada but they are even harder to find in decent shape... Look at my "Mustard" build thread to see the travesty that is my 89 Civic Si. 89 is the first year of the EF Civic Si, a one year Si since they did a facelift for 90... Yeah I'm pretty sad about it.
