the EM1 is the american Si, i think its the SiR in canada. It has a B-series engine that makes a good amount more hp than the regular civics (draw back is you need premium gas) and it has sport suspension, factory alloy wheels, and other options. basically its a regular civic that is kinda premodded and engine swapped for you lol, except it comes stock like that
and jprommel, thats exactly what i was about to say before i read your comment haha

ok that makes sense, so really its just the rims, suspension and much better engine is the difference.
well rims and suspansion make no difference to me im gonna upgrade those and engine i think ill stick with this ones with a few mods for more hp/gas milage

the easy answer to that question is.... dont. unless you plan on making rediculous ammounts of power... leave your brakes alone. drum brakes are designed to last approx 60-75k miles. your rear brakes only do about 25% of your stopping. dont worry about converting the rears to discs... just put that money and effort into drilled and slotted front rotors. brake shoes are cheap and very effective. if honda's needed rear discs... they'd come from the factory that way.
congrats on the acquisition of the car tho. = ) keep us updated on what you got goin on... make us jealous. = )

thanks for that info. i still wish i could just because drums look hella ugly.
any ways another question, im planning on rims for next summer time ish and every one says to slap some 18s on and i agree it would look bad ***, but i dont wanna be riding in some that that you feel every single tiny little bump. if i was to upgrade my suspension before that would it increase the ride at all with those 18s?
i dont plan on lowering it any just alot better tuned suspension
