Well, not that many people here are very interested in 1320 times. Sure, going fast and straight is cool, for a while, but it gets pretty boring. Tell daddy to put his slowmaro up against a well tuned civic in the twisties, then we'll see who reins supreme.

its obvious that you arent into 1/4 times, you drive a honda. and slowmaro? to what? i know you arent talking about your civic. he built the camaro to be a DRAG car, not something to go through turns fast.

again:
indeed. muscle cars are fast, but only until something decides to stop working. they don't run very fast 1/4 mile races when they are on blocks. even though this is a different car, my sister's stock integra took out numerous camaros and mustangs. she had the dohc vtec, but it was still a 4 cylinder vs. 6 and 8 cylinder muscle cars.

granted, unless it's an Si, civics don't have dohc vtec. but it's easy to modify, and they are light weight compared to the "muscle". just remember....you need all the ponies you can get when it comes to muscle, because you have to get all the steel in motion.

Let's not fight ladies and gents. Nikki and her family are into V8 American muscle cars and thats cool, we love our Civics because as a 4 banger they have the potential to beat some of the V8s. Everyone has an opinion and its just that, we don't wanna go scaring her off because her idea of a fast car is an American V8. Hell I'd kill for a 63 cougar but thta doesnt mean I love my Civic any less.

the only time my dads camaro has ever broke down was because the trans didn't hold up to all the power. it doesnt matter what kind of car it is, the faster you push your car the more stress you put on it and sooner or later something will break, whether its a civic or a camaro. since he got a better trans nothing else has since gone wrong. every weekend this car is at the strip since 2000, and since he's had it only the trans going bad is pretty good i think for being ran so hard all the time.

i still dont see how your sisters stock integra took out any v8 camaro. v6 camaros and v6mustangs are no muslce cars, hell, even most mustang gt's are slow. id like to see a stock integra out run a lt1 or ls1 camaro.

it's just uncool to go onto a forum that has members who put their heart and soul into making their car awesome, and then someone comes along and says it's slow without actually having seen ANYTHING.

i'd love to show you, but unfortunately the integra was stolen this past february.

Yeah, in all reality i'm not trying to fight with this chick, and its obvoius she knows her stuff when it comes to Muscle Cars. Like xe said, we're all a little touchy when it comes to people bashing civics, cause so many people do it. Its pure ignorance really. Sorry I got defensive ~nikki~, hope you dont take it the wrong way.

I am in fact interested in 1/4 times, however, its not nearly as important to me as "all around performance." I guess the point i'm trying to make is that no matter what you're into, you should never be close minded towards other cars.

I wasn't trying to bash civics, if i was then why would i turn around and buy one? i was just trying to say that if i wanted to have a fast car or a car to mod i wouldnt be getting a civic, or any honda for that matter.

if you want to mod your civic to be fast, then props to you, not to those ricers who slap on a cheap APC exhaust and intake and think they can beat every car out there.

and still, im not trying to start anything but there's no way a stock integra can beat a lt1 or ls1. gsr's run what stock? like 15.3 or so? that's two whole seconds slower than an ls1. and lt1's are about high 13s.

screw muscle cars - they only deliver a straight line performance. Put one of those on a real track and they're done. A stock integra GSR will eat any LT or LS-equipped car in any kind of a race, besides the drag. When I judge the car's performance, I mainly look for a balance an not the stupid 0-60 numbers. Sure I visit drag strips, just for fun, but those times don't really mena much. This is why I chose a BMW when shopping for a car. Of course there are others, such as Mr2's, nissan's Z lineup, 240sx, and more.

Ive seen 4 bangers eat v8's like nothing else. Hell, look at the ariel atom. It technically is a Honda. It runs on a Honda and its pratically the quickest production car in the world! www.arielatom.com
