Hi everyone, I've recently acquired a '98, 5 Spd Manual, with a 100K miles on it. Still runs beautifully though. I'm looking forward to reading the forums and gleaning as much info as possible from all your knowledgeable folks.

welcome to the forum.....do you plan to do any upgrades to it.??? what does it have now? any pics?

 

I want to first get it in prime running condition and then browse through the forum here for some ideas. I have no clue as to what I want to update, lol. I used to drive a 318i until I skidded on a rainy day and crashed into a guardrail, and that was that. I just want to make sure that all maintenance issues are taken care of, and then I'm sure to tap your collective brains for some upgrades.

It is completely stock right now. I might look into upgrading to HIDs,SS brake liners along with an updated brakes package, maybe an SSK. But before all that I know it needs a suspension overhaul as the rear passenger side is shot. So that might very well be my first upgrade. It needs a new timing belt as well.

I'd love some ideas for the suspension. I'll try to get some pics posted.

Oh just a general check up. Need to get the brakes and suspension looked at, and see what else needs to be changed.
