hey im new to the forums and im trying to get this honda civic thats 4 cylinder 2 wheel drive automatic im not really digging the automatic im more of a stick shift kinda guy the car doesnt need alot of work on it but some has high miles on it which does suck in a way but its my first car im wondering if i can change my automatic into a 5 speed stick shift and how much it would cost or can i do it myself even if i dont have alot of car know how.

Swapping to a 5spd is very easy. I did a cvt swap to 5spd on a HX and it was pretty much straight forward to me atleast. It cost me approx. in the low 1k with everything I needed.

 

just warning you, if you don't know very much about your car, a tranny swap is really not the place to start learning. but anyway it's possible. there's some info in the sticky in the transmission section of the forum. you can also search for pretty much anything you so desire to know.
