Default How goes it?

hey! how's it goin'....new member here, figured I'd introduce myself. My name is Sean, I'm 19, live in Louisiana, in college at Northwestern State University as a nursing major with a minor in commercial and industrial art. So far my 1997 EX is visually stock, save for a set of 16" white motegi wheels wrapped in Pirelli P-zero neros. I don't consider it ricey....more sophisticated and clean looking than anything else, however I've been accused of being a ricer for the wheels alone. Internals have potential I just need to pick up a nice I/H/E setup. So far I've had my diminuitive y8 bored .35 over with JE pistons and connecting rods, crower cam, skunk 2 cam gear, and a new set of rockers, valve springs, etc. Got it on the dyno after the pistons and cam but I didn't really like my results. That's when I put on everything else....sort of a full rebuild with a lighter gear to clean up the variations in the power band. Looking at somewhere along the lines of 148 to the wheels....just need to strap on a supercharger and the I/H/E, then I'll probably be satisfied. That's all I got for now....later!

I'm sorry I don't completely understand the CR question. I'm not aquainted with all the jargon. This is just a shot in the dark, but if you are asking about the connecting rods they are basically the same as the stock ones, but made out of a lighter metal, they are also JE.

The lighter gear thing was the new cam gear that I had put on, it didn't add any power but it cleaned up what I already had.

I think he was asking for the compression ratio. Oh, and which Motegi Racing wheels do you have? I've been thinking about getting the FF6 in silver.

right, compression ratio. and i think the idea behind that gear is the adjustability, not just the light weight.

you would be correct, not sure on CR but I'll find out, I have the same motegi wheels everyone else has just in white (so yeah that'd be the MR7)
