Default Howdy! From San Antonio

We've owned our '98 Civic LX since we bought it new, in '97. It's been our family car up until we bought the Grand Caravan (hard to carry 3 kids & 2 adults in a li'l Civic!). Today, I put most of my miles on my Honda Shadow Sabre motorcycle that I've mod'ed to include lots of extras, but that's another story. Our '98 Civic LX has just a hair over 90k miles. We USED to put about 15k miles on it each year, but it's been averaging about 4k per year since I got the bike & we got April the Grand Caravan.

So, now, I'm looking at doing a few things to the Civic. It needs some routine maintenance (timing belt), some minor repairs (headlight lenses are cloudy, automatic door locks are failing), and I'd like to make a few mods (high performance brakes because the stock rotors have been turned twice & replaced once due to being really wimpy, I'd like to find a high-performance steering module so that the steering wheel would be a half-turn from lock-to-lock. Then, I'll be looking to lower & tighten the suspension as well as do wheels & tires). So, that's the overall plan. The only mod we've already done has been to replace the stock radio with a CD/MP3 player (but with the stock speakers, and I'm not so interested in having a "thump-thump" box on wheels).

So, there you have it. We've got a 6 1/2 year old who just started 1st grade, and twins who will be 3 in November. They are the love of my life. I've done plenty of engine rebuilds and lots of other wrenching. I like wrenching - as long as I don't HAVE to do it to get to work!

And there you go!

Sounds good got any pics? You could do speakers without subs and it wouldn't go thump thump. How much of a drop are you planning on doing and how big of rims? good luck on it though.
