Default i am finally in

i am finally getting my ride tomorrow. at first i was looking for a DA, but then i started looking at civics. so tomorrow i am getting a 91 civic hatch. i think its a dx...i am not sure. it has 220,00 on the body, and like 80,000 on the new motor. it doesnt have carpet, butit puls hard. i think he just b=put back in another d15 but i am not sure. does anyone have any ideas for this ride? i was thinking about trying to swap a b18c in it. well if any of you have any ideas or any help it would be very appreciated. thanks

its a very light frame you have there. A b18c is a sweet idea. In general, its a fun car to lighten up and throw a high power engine in there, you will see that alot.

if it is a dx then remember that you have to convert the dual pont injection to multipoint, if you have the money to do it id say go for it they are fast with b18s when theyre kept light

upgrade brakes and suspension. your suspension will probably need all new bushings. check for lots of rust!

yeah...everybody who gets 89-91 hatch says there gonna drop a b18c into them. Til they see the price after install, My cousin had one and that **** was fast.

Honestly I have a 91 hatch and Imma bout to drop a D15B vtec, It's a hell of a lot cheaper than the swap ur talk'n bout and it's decent power for the price. Easy to strap on a turbo too...

just some food for thought...

I getting my D15B for $450, then imma strap on my stock tranny until I get enough info on what would be best buy for the new upgrade. Your gonna need a P28 ecu (for the vtec)...and new sparks, spark wires, rotor button, and distributor. I think that's it...ohh and if it's not converted to mpfi then u should get that done

I gotta hook on the install, so it'll run me about $900 for the whole swap to be done...which is decent

alittle advice if u r serious about the swap, get header and exhaust to be installed when the mech does the swap

hope this helps ur decision...Any more Q's u should ask Pete or some of the others that have had it done already.
