Hi everyone, I just though I'd introduce myself. My name is Julie and I just got my first Honda. It was bought for me by my husband because my Jeep Cherokee is getting too expensive to drive. I now have a red 1993 honda civic dx. So I am not looking to make it faster or anything, but i thought i'd join incase i can learn any ways to increase its efficiency.

one thing i am looking for are some new wheels for it. It only has those ugly factory ones on there. But my husband says the 13" ones that are on there get the best gas milalge and if we put bigger ones on there its gas milage will go down I looked at www.tirerack.com and there are no replacement 13" wheels for it. I could get 14" ones but then I'd have to buy more tires too....I guess I should just find some half decent covers.

If you want to go up in wheel size (I would suggest at least a 15 inch) You need to reduce the size of the sidwall of the tire. In the end it may actually slightly increase efficiency if you get some lighter wheels then the stock steel ones.

What size is the tire you have now? and well be able to tell you the size youll need to keep the tire the same distance around.

Thats a nice car! Welcome to the forum!!!!! You actually could decrease the weight of the wheels by buying aftermarket wheels even if they are bigger.
