Default I'm new..

I just bought a 98 Honda Civic LX [sedan] for 1k. It has some drop already on it, had afterstock side mirrors but I put the stock ones back, has a aftermarket 12 disc changer, and has a bent up front end.

I kinda want to make the car end up looking something like

But everyone keeps shunning body kits..is that one acceptable?

Btw, I'm Robbie.

body lines don't match the style of the rest of the car. It looks too busy. Wheels are too big and too chrome-like. Chicken wire does not look good on a car. Hood scoop looks retarded.

circled in yellow is what NEEDS to be GONE

the chicken wire is horrible on the body kit, its alright on the grill but the body kit is just a no no. the sideskirts dont flow with the body, and i like the hood except for the 2 vents on the side. but the body kit dosent have the clean lines to match the body. thats just my $0.02

Well my car is a sedan so I wouldn't have the same side skirts, the kit I'd get comes with, from what I can tell, fairly straight, clean skirts. Why do you not like the vents [on both bumper and hood]?

Chicken wire isn't that bad there's just certain times it looks good. More or less it just has to be used in the right situation.

This is how the car came when I bought it

I'm not really sure what exactly I should do to it...any suggestions? I'm thinking along the lines of body and visuals before any performance work is done..maybe a body kit or lip kit, paint job, new lights, spoiler, rims...throw some ideas out there for me! I'm feeling a color scheme of black w/ red accents.
