Welcome aboard! First off, D-series motors don't suck, as long as they're done up right. Do some searching around this forum, especially the "Required Reading for Newbies." There are also a few sticky threads about "what mods to do first" and that sort of thing. Let us know if you need any other help!

yeah I've seen a lot bout how to build up a D engine but everything seems to be around d16 and not d15 which is the one I have. Anyone know how many hp I get from that engine without any mods? some places I see 114 and other places 105 which one is true?
