JUST TO SAY HI

new to the forum from los angeles area

first post with few questions

just bought a 96 ex couple 5sp from a friend

my first honda, with everything stock

its got 137k freeway mileage

6 yr old timing belt has 70k miles

how long does the clutch usually last?

how long does its timing belt usually last?

 

Welcome. has the previous owner had it serviced regularly?

 

all records since 1996 proved this car was under proper care by the dealer

but, it looks like something went wrong, the dealer changed the timing belts at 3k mi, and 65k mi; under warranty..... not sure if that was a recall or something.....

wonder if anyone ever had the similar issue

 

ive never heard of an issue with the TB. but consider yourself lucky that it has a fresh one on it. and my stock clutch went over 110k, and i drove it hard.

 

sweet, glad u got a civ, and nice bike. btw, im in carson, and there are a couple of people here from cali so we'll have to go cruisin sometime.
