Default A little help here? : P

i might be getting a 97 civic ex coupe and when me and my dad were test driving it we found that the distance from 1st to 2nd was really short, not like other cars we have drivin that were stick, can anyone explain why this is? the distance is the same for all the gears not just 1-2

Pull the shift boot down to see if the shifter is old, rusty and black... or new-looking and chromy or red/blue/green/purple/pink yada yada yada
yeah i know they don't come in all them colors... but hey..... just an example LOL
