Just bought a one owner 03 civic with 72k miles the other day. I am going to change the timing belt soon and want to change the trans fluid asap. I don't know the maintenance history so those need attention. I maintain everything myself so will be visiting the DIY section often. I hope to get 200k outta this car and drive it with care. I took some pictures of the car the day I got it. $6500 cash, I feel that I got a fair deal!

I bought some maxlife ATF trans fluid for the first of 3 fluid changes. After doing some research it specs the same as honda Z1 and people have had good if not better experiences with it.

 

Car looks to be in very good shape!
is it an automatic? I always hear people saying that automatic civics are picky as to what tranny fluid you use.

 

Yes, I've discovered that the autos are junk transmissions. I guess i'll drive it till it drops, then drop in a stick.
