Default New 98 DX owner

Hey all,
I just bought a 98 DX 2door 5speed with 140k on it. It's clean in and out, I paid 2700 for it and I love it. I'm a chevy guy so I don't know to much about Hondas but after doing a few searches I'm learning a lot already. My cluster only has a speedo, water temp, and fuel. I want to get one with a tach in it. Anyone know where I can get one or if it's even possible. I really like the white guages in the newer civics. Can I put those in my Civic? Happy to be here and looking to post a lot and hopefully help out some people on here.

You could swap out the cluster for a SI one or just put a aftermarket Tach in. Welcome anyhow. we would love to see some pics!

You should be happy you don't have power anything. That's all just deadweight. [8D]

Please tell me you didn't put those floormats in there. [:'(]

Welcome DX owner :-)

I have a 97 DX myself, looks like we are both blessed with manual everything, gotta love it.

I have built some muscle lately rolling my windows down, I miss my switches, but I love my car :-)

I am also looking into getting the tach cluster in my car. I already have white gauges, you can pick them up off of ebay for little to nothing, and the install is a sinch.

We have been discussing this quite a bit lately, our cars are wired for a tach already, all you need to do is check ebay and bid on a cluster from a 96-98 EX, the one with the tach, spedo, and fuel/temp combined. Then, hit ebay again and get your gauge covers (white with blue backlite) looks sweet, and you are all set.

There are alot of nice things for the dx coupes, browse around or post for suggestions, these guys know their stuff!

Good luck

Thanks for all the info. I definately did not put those god awful floor mats in there just haven't got around to tossing them out. I'm already bidding on some clusters on ebay.I like not having power everthing. It's more things to go wrong. I have power steering, thats all I need.
