Thumbs up new civic hb owner

hey guys/gals.
I just got a 'steal' deal on a '95 civic hatch DX with 70k miles on it.
5spd (of course).

Just put a cold air intake in it, got a tach in the mail.

Any pointers on how to mod it up right? I don't want to rice it out, aka no fart cans or park bench sized spoilers. some moderate mods is what I want.

any suggestions?

what kind of engine?...My opinion lower it, front lip, new grille, tint windows, 15's or 16's, headers if you dont do an engine swap.

best bang for the buck horsepower wise, would be to boost it. you can do the basic intake, header, exhaust if you don't plan to boost. a drop, wheels, lip kit would bring up the appearance. you can also do some audio work, new head unit, upgraded speakers, amps, subs, tweeters. lots of things you can do, read up the stickies, in the individual sections and go to the projects thread to see what others have done, and also check out ride of the month and see what they have done. and welcome to HCF! post some pics of the hatch, we love pics here

d15b7 gonna need a new rear bumper, gonna save up a bit and throw a body kit on it, definitely needs some sound tho, kinda struggling with two stock speakers in the doors and that's it. don't think I'm gonna boost it, trying to keep it relatively cheap lol. and rims are comin' as soon as the good weather does. got all season tires on steelies for the winter.

Well your motor has 102hp so put a d16z6 head on it and you will get about 125-130 hp...Im pretty sure...and about the body kit its up to you, but if you lower it and put a front lip that should be low enough to the ground...a body kit will scrape.

Nice HB, looks very clean and straight. I'd say wheels, lip, a lowering, and some audio and you'll be good. Keeping it simple usually seems to look better than trying to put a new body kit and wheels and headlights and neon and wings and non funcional air scoops and all that other crap people put on their cars.
